Holborn waste paper bin - expertly decoupaged in the striking collaboration between Morris & Co. and renowned interior designer Ben Pentreath and this is beautifully showcased in the latest addition to their repertoire—the Queen Square Wallpaper Collection. In 1865 William Morris and his family moved to Queen's Square, in Holborn where the inspiration of the name of this collection has come from.
Among Morris's most iconic designs, this uncomplicated all-over wallpaper dates back to 1874, preceding the more elaborate Willow Boughs by 13 years. Selected by Ben Pentreath for its smaller scale and meticulously recoloured to align with his creative vision, the tomato and olive hues add a distinctive touch.
The Holborn collection is painted in Little Greene's new shade of 'Ganache' from the 'Sweet Treats' range which is a colour match of the hues adorning an intricately painted ceiling at Blickling Hall in Norfolk. This historical treasure, concealed behind boards in the early 20th century, resurfaced almost a century later following a flood. Possessing an impressive depth, Ganache is likely to serve as the most profound shade in your room's palette. For a truly bold interior design statement, contemplate pairing it with the even darker Chocolate Colour.
